Vedic Kundali — Your Complete Birth Chart
A Vedic Kundali is the mathematical map of the sky at the moment you were born. It is the foundation of every classical Jyotish reading — marriage compatibility, career timing, dosha remedies and life direction.

What a Vedic Kundali tells you
Your Kundali is calculated the moment your body took its first independent breath. In that instant, the sky imprinted a pattern — where the Sun stood, where the Moon rested in a Nakshatra, which sign was rising on the eastern horizon (your Lagna).
From this single frozen photograph of the sky, Jyotish extracts everything: which planetary period (Mahadasha) you are living under, which houses of life are strong, which are stressed, and which remedies the classical texts prescribe.
Why our Kundali is different
Most online kundalis approximate. They fall back to noon if the time is missing, assume IST for foreign births, or default to a Delhi ascendant when geocoding fails. We do none of that.
Our engine uses pyswisseph with Lahiri Ayanamsa, resolves timezones historically (DST-aware pytz), and demands exact place coordinates. If any input is missing or unreliable, the system stops and tells you — rather than fabricating a chart.

What is a Vedic Kundali?
Your Kundali (Janma Kundali or Vedic birth chart) is a mathematical snapshot of the sky at the exact moment you were born. Using your date, time, and place of birth, we calculate the positions of the nine planets (Grahas), the twelve signs (Rashis), the twenty-seven Nakshatras, and the twelve houses (Bhavas) that together describe how planetary energies were arranged at your first breath.
A well-drawn Kundali reveals your Ascendant (Lagna), Moon sign, Sun sign, Nakshatra, the ruling planet at each stage of life via the Vimshottari Dasha system, and any classical yogas or doshas (like Manglik, Kaal Sarp, or Grahan Dosha) that shape your temperament, relationships, and life direction.
How AstroVeda Pro calculates this
Every AstroVeda Pro Kundali is computed using the Swiss Ephemeris (pyswisseph) with the Lahiri Ayanamsa, the traditional sidereal calibration used across authentic Vedic astrology. Timezones are resolved historically and account for daylight-saving shifts, and the Ascendant is computed from your exact place of birth rather than an approximation. If any input is unreliable, the system will tell you and stop, rather than fall back to a generic chart.
Every reading includes an auditable Calculation Transparency panel so a qualified Jyotisha can independently verify the underlying math.

Frequently asked questions
What is included in the Kundali reading?
Lagna (ascendant), Moon sign, Nakshatra with Pada, all 9 planets in signs and houses, 10+ classical yogas, dosha analysis (Mangal, Kaal Sarp, Sade Sati, Nadi), and the full Vimshottari Dasha timeline down to Pratyantardasha.
Which ayanamsa do you use?
We use Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) Ayanamsa, the sidereal system prescribed by the Indian government and used by professional Jyotishas.
Do I need my exact birth time?
Yes. The Ascendant (Lagna) shifts roughly every 2 hours, so even a 5-minute error can change your house placements. If you don't know the exact time, we recommend Nadi rectification (contact us).
Can I download my Kundali as a PDF?
Yes. Every premium Kundali includes a beautifully formatted PDF download with the full calculation transparency panel so any Jyotisha can audit the numbers.
What is a yoga, and which ones do you check for?
A yoga is a specific combination of planets, houses, or signs that classical texts associate with a particular life outcome, career strength, wealth potential, or challenge. We check for 10+ classical yogas including Raj Yoga, Dhana Yoga, and Gaja Kesari Yoga, and explain each one that applies to your chart in plain language, not just by name.
What's the difference between Mahadasha and Antardasha?
Mahadasha is your current major planetary period, often running several years. Antardasha is the sub-period within it, run by a second planet, which fine-tunes what that Mahadasha actually feels like month to month. Your Kundali reading breaks down both, down to Pratyantardasha.
Does Kundali analysis include palmistry or numerology?
No. Kundali is a pure astrology reading, based entirely on your birth chart. If you want astrology combined with palmistry and numerology in one reading, look at Complete Reading instead.
